Comprehensive In-House Lab
& Microscopy
Having an in-house lab means we can run tests and have results back in mere minutes. By completing all of this in-house, including skin-cell analysis with a microscope (microscopy), we’re able to deliver treatment plans to you and your pet all in one visit. Blood and urine tests are two of the most important, so we often recommend every pet receive these tests annually. A list of the tests we run include:
- Complete blood counts (CBCs)
- Blood chemistry panels
- Urinalysis
- Fecal exams
- Cytology (skin cell analysis)
- Biopsies
- And more
Cat and Dog Ultrasound
Ultrasound is a unique service in that it requires extra training in order to do it effectively. If your pet needs an ultrasound, they’ll receive better care from a vet who has experience. Dr. Hokett is very skilled in abdominal ultrasound, and in fact, we perform an ultrasound with every urine test. These two services give us vital information about your pet’s kidney and bladder health.
Cat and Dog X-Rays
We use digital X-rays frequently with ultrasound because the two work in tandem to create a complete, detailed picture of your pet’s internal structures. We have both a full-body X-ray and a dental X-ray which we utilize with every dental procedure. Additionally, all of our X-rays and ultrasounds are reviewed by a board-certified radiologist, so we always get an expert opinion on every case.
