Meet Our Staff




Kristen Cockerham- Head Technician

Kristen has worked at Best Friends since May of 2012.  She is the head veterinary technician who worked her way up from the kennels.  She can do it all!  She lives in Fayetteville with multiple kids, dogs, and cats.


Theadra Barnes- Administrative Assistant

Theadra has worked at Best Friends since the beginning of 2013.  She currently handles much of the administrative work, as well as ordering product, but she is capable of working any position in the hospital. She has a son named Oliver with Ian Reynolds who worked with us for  3 years.  She has a beloved dog Batman, who is a lab and collie mix, a Chiweenie named Snuggles, and a chocolate lab named Riley.  She also has 3 cats, Link, Buddha and Gremlin. Fun Fact: Sister to Jessie and Dasiah. Cousin to Dr. Mandi Shearhart.



Dasiah Barnes – Head Technician

Dasiah started working at Best Friends in June of 2014.  She is a head technician. She has two dogs and a cat; a Boxer-Pit mix named Swayzi, a young Australian Cattle dog mix named Fay, and a black domestic shorthair, Stevie.  Fun Fact: Sister to Jessie and Theadra. Cousin to Dr. Mandi Shearhart.


Jessie Barnes – Head Receptionist

Jessie started working at Best Friends June 2015.  She started as a kennel technician and started cross training in reception soon after.  She has two female dogs, a Boxer/Pit Bull Mix named Swayzi and Cattle Dog Mix named Fay.  She also has two cats!  A female, black, short-haired domestic cat named Stevie and a male, long-haired Domestic cat named Hagrid.  She is also a pet/house sitter and a dog walker in her free time.  Fun Fact: Sister to Theadra and Dasiah. Cousin to Dr. Mandi Shearhart.


Chloe Harris – Technician

Chloe started at Best Friends during summer 2016 and has aspirations to become a certified veterinary technician. She lives in Fayetteville with her 5 cats Norman, Ein (pictured), Penelope, Crystal, and Magenta, her rabbit, Dessa, and snake, Oksana.



Becca Ingram- Technician

Becca has worked at Best Friends since June 2012 as a veterinarian technician.  She graduated with her Bachelor of Science and Psychology degree and got a great job at WalMart.  We are so proud of her!  She now only works with us once weekly.  She has five dogs: a Bull Terrier mix named Ozzy, an Australian Shepherd named Dixie, a three-legged Chihuahua named Ranger, a long-haired dachshund mix named Wylie, a terrier mix named Louann.  She also has a Siamese mix named Hunter and a Maine Coon mix named Hayes.  She also spends time training dogs with behavioral problems.


Liz Miller- Receptionist

Liz joined the clinic in May 2010, and is one of our front-desk receptionists.  Liz was born and raised in Fayetteville, and lives on a farm with her husband and daughter, where they have three dogs, three cats, two guinea pigs, two Mustang horses, two calves, two goats and several chickens.


Danielle Davis- Technician

Danielle is a student at the University of Arkansas.  She is studying animal science with a focus of pre-veterinary medicine and a minor in agricultural business.  She also plays for the University’s Womens rugby club.  Ever since she knew what a veterinarian did, she wanted to be one.  Danielle hopes to be a mixed practice veterinarian in the future.


Callie Rinnert- Technician

Callie’s love affair for animals started as a young child and continues today many years later.  Callie started at Best Friends in March 2017.  She has a passion for senior dogs and spent three years working for the Fayetteville Animal Services.  Callie has three dogs Birdie, Daphne and Nugget all who came from local shelters.


Brianna Bolstad- Technician/Receptionist

Brianna started working at Best Friends in April of 2017.  She is currently a Junior studying Animal Science at the University of Arkansas and aspires to go to Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine.  She has 3 dogs and 2 cats, including Brinkley, a golden retriever that Brianna has had since she was 4 years old.



Emily Wright- Kennels/Technician/Receptionist

Emily is an experienced kennel technician and is training to be a veterinary technician and receptionist. She graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2018 with a degree in Animal Science. Emily has 3 dogs; Bentley (pictured), Belle, and Bruiser, and one cat; Teeto (pictured).
